Filling a Critical Gap on the Peninsula
Kachemak Rapid Care Ambulance was founded to address a dangerous reality on the Kenai Peninsula: patients needing urgent ground transport to Anchorage or between facilities faced dangerous delays — especially when air medevac is grounded by Alaska's unpredictable weather.
Local fire departments handle 911 emergency response, but the need for reliable BLS, ALS interfacility, non-acute medical and long-distance critical care transport was going unmet. We stepped in to change that.
